"When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?" They said to him, "Twelve."
Mark 8:19
We all hunger and thirst; it is a persistent reminder of our dependence on God and others in this world. Jesus said in Matthew 25, “I was hungry and you gave me something to eat.” A small yet profound act that shows our love for one another and our interdependence. Rising out of a need to respond to this need, the Sunday morning Community Breakfast was born. At 8:19 AM (referencing Mark 8:19) every Sunday, a full hot breakfast is served in our Fellowship Hall for anyone who walks through the door. This ministry stems from our desire and mission to practice unprecedented acts of hospitality. Those who eat are welcome to stay for our 9 AM Praise Worship service or simply head on to their day. What a joy it is to break bread together in Christ’s love.
