This week, Rev. Sara Beth Pannell will preach a sermon titled "Doubtful and Devoted."
On that first Easter long ago, Jesus appears to all of his disciples except one: Thomas. Demanding to see the Risen Lord for himself, Thomas earned the title "doubtful." But aren't we all like Thomas-- hoping to catch a glimpse of resurrection and new life? What if Jesus appearing to Thomas is good news for all us, in the midst of our own doubts and beliefs?
To prepare for this week, the scripture is John 20: 19-31.
