This week in worship, we continue our sermon series titled, "Happy, Joyous, Free" with Rev. Sara Beth Pannell preaching a message titled, "Progress Not Perfection". 

Perfectionism has a way of stealing our confidence and our joy. Striving to be “perfect” at something can keep us from celebrating our progress or it can even keep us from trying at all. Jesus doesn’t ask us to be perfect, but he does ask us to follow him – to walk in his footsteps, one step at a time. One of the hallmarks of Methodism was John Wesley’s belief in the “sanctifying grace” of God, or in other words, the power of God’s grace to make us more like Jesus. How is God inviting you towards progress, rather than perfection? How is God’s grace at work in your life, perfecting you in love?
